And as an aid to locational awareness, the GMR 406 radar image can be overlaid on the Garmin network's moving map cartography display. The on-screen display can also be split, allowing for a simultaneous view of mapping alongside the standard radar picture. Easily Connect to Garmin Marine Network The GMR 406 communicates with the Garmin Marine Network through a waterproof 100-megabit plug-and-play proprietary network which gives you the ability to expand your boats system as needed. You can connect a GPS antenna and one remote network sensor (like the GMR 406) directly to a multifunctional display.
